Who We Are

The Lancaster Industrial Development Agency is a public benefit corporation, formed under Article 18-A of New York State’s General Municipal Law. The LIDA is governed by a common policy, the Countywide Industrial Development Agency Uniform Tax Exemption Policy, which was adopted in Erie County, New York on December 12, 2001 and amended as of January 1, 2010.

What We Do

The mission of the LIDA is to promote economic growth and development in the Lancaster, New York area. The LIDA assists qualified private sector industries and businesses by offering incentive programs to encourage the creation, expansion or relocation of businesses in our community.

How We Can Help

The LIDA is dedicated to ensuring the long-term economic health of the Lancaster, New York area by helping existing businesses grow and attracting new businesses. The agency promotes private sector commercial and industrial development, and advances the economic welfare of residents through employment opportunities and a broadened tax base.
Current Incentives

Current Incentives

The LIDA can assist qualified businesses with exemptions from mortgage recording taxes, sales and use taxes, and real property taxes.
Lancaster IDA Projects
The Lancaster Industrial Development Agency works cooperatively with the municipal governments of the Town of Lancaster, the Village of Lancaster and the Village of Depew to assist businesses currently located within our jurisdiction or seeking to relocate to our area.
